I usually watch an episode of “Heroes” from time to time. It’s a modern soap cartoon (if that doesn’t exist, I apply for copyrights, but I believe it to be one of the best describing term when it comes to this successful TV series).
Among my preferred roles in the series are the telenovela family – the indestructible cheerleader and her flying natural dad. Nevertheless, with her dad’s new obsessions, I turned my attention to the blondehaired cheerleader (and, I admit, her flying new boyfriend).
Well, enough reviewing movies, let’s get to the point.
Hayden Panettiere, the latest all-Americans-chérie is allover the place. Wherever I turn my head, I’ve got another picture of blonde sensation Hayden. Until now, everything was ok, I could overlook her easily but today I just got a flash when seeing her latest pictures from Italy. And the flash was, of course, about her outfit. Something looked familiar about her clothes…
After a quick research, I found myself looking at a Hayden completely out of inspiration. I refused to search any further, frighten of what I could discover and came up with these few examples that I absolutely have to share with you.
When she read the Golden Globes nominees she wore a black pencil skirt, a white top and black pumps. Later on, another event – the Z100 Jingle Ball she had a simple yet outstandingly admired outfit – a black pencil skirt and a white sleeveless shirt .oh! and black pumps.
These days, in Italy, at a movie festival, she had a splendid outfit matching her blonde locks – a white high waisted pencil skirt and a gold top matching her golden peep toe pumps. And now the last picture, the very one that pulled the alarm for me – the latest pictures taken at the event in Italy. Remember that black pencil skirt? Mmmwell, this very black pencil skirt she wore today! With a long sleeved red top and black peep toe pumps.
Is it just me, or in everybody’s mind actors casting in a successful TV series are well paid? And if this is the case, then, what is wrong with our blonde cheerleader? Is she out of financial resources or purely out of inspiration? Not only she has the same outfit style for every event (at least a month now) – high waisted pencil skirt and top with pumps, but even so, she has to wear the same skirt? Or the same pumps?
Completely eyedamaging!

Why is there anything wrong with that? One doesn’t have to be broke to re-wear clothes. I could understand if it was the exact same outfit every day of the week, but I don’t see anything wrong with her outfits.
From what I’ve seen above, she has a great sense of style and knows what looks good on her body. I find it refreshing to see a celebrity who wears clothes more than once.
By the way, you might be interested in this series written by Sara.
When you’re payed to breathe or to smile in a certain way, when every step you take can (and mostly is the case) receive sponsorship, don’t you find it a little odd that one in the case described hereby wears the same outfit more than once? I do! Hayden did a cover recently for a prom edition of Seventeen, thus, she’s a role model. Thus her every move is an example for thousands (at least).
Having wardrobe habits normally described as “ordinary” is nonetheless wrong! Is uncommon plain and simple (as we are talking about movie stars). And that is what I’m suggesting. Anyway, sticking to a certain style would be recommended, when found the right one. Are we sure “this” is it for mignonne Hayden?
I don’t know if it is the absolute best style for her, but I think it looks nice — and a whole lot better than what I’ve seen a lot of celebrities wearing.
Is it odd? Perhaps, considering that she is a celebrity. But wrong? I don’t see it that way at all. Perhaps she is a better role model precisely because of her habit of re-wearing clothes.
I certainly don’t think that certain other celebrities set a good example by wearing a completely new outfit every day. It’s a waste of resources — and not just money.
I have a feeling that Hayden realizes this and that may be her motivation to not be like so many other celebrities. If that’s the case, then she truly is a good role model and she may have found a new fan.
Oh, an 18years old dressing like a 35years old is far from nice. I do agree that she’s trying to find a style for herself, that she’s so young and successful that she has to pay special attention to everything she says/does/wears so the others looking up to her won’t be disappointed but that won’t stop me from saying for instance that the Ferragamo shoes she wears in two of the 4 occasions I’ve came up with don’t fit to a 18years.
I cannot suppose what she’s thinking or what she’s assuming by wearing this kind of outfit, I can only make a simple observation – that she’s trying to look taller. and older. without being too obvious either.
There’s nothing wrong with having a wardrobe and using it (stars have been known for doing that too), it’s odd, just like you agreed. We do like debating oddness, don’t we? And we do like debating ;)
I will definitely agree that I like debating ; )
I’ll concede that the outfit second from the right could use some help, but overall I still think her look is classy — and I love her outfit on the right.
No, it’s not typical wear for an 18 year old and I’m sure that people 35 and older do wear that style, but I wouldn’t say that she’s dressing like a 35 year old. Great style isn’t age-centric.
Besides, a lot of younger women are wearing pencil skirts right now due to them being trendy. I wouldn’t mind them sticking around (which they always seem to do to some extent) because it’s a nice change from those ultra minis that are far from flattering on most people — regardless of age.
I don’t see anything particularly wrong with her shoes, either. I normally dislike peep-toes as a whole, but hers seem to work for her. And the other shoes, as far as I can see, look very nice.
Let’s see…We both agree on debating. And the pleasure that comes with. We both agree that it’s an unusual outfit for an 18years old. We even agree that it’s a classic one. (so classic that it kills the originality).
Let me tell you how I felt when I put on a pencil skirt (high waisted) for the first time – like a goddess! It felt so damn good that I wouldn’t change it for the world! (had too.. cannot run around after the kids with a pencil skirt on :D) So if they stick around, it would be a delight! Maybe this year I’ll fit into a black gorgeous pencil skirt, after giving birth ;) . Here we have to agree on something else too – tight clothes are far from flattering on some figures. So it means that pencil skirts only fit some silhouettes.
Her shoes? Nothing in particular with. Only the Ferragamo (first and second picture from the left) looked too “adult” for her. Slightly unfitting the rest of the outfit too (as in being too embellished and not contrasting enough).
Wow, we do agree on a lot ; )
I’ll also concede that she could use some really fabulous accessories to go with the rather nice but plain outfits.
We’ll search some accessories fit for her outfit, her age and for the occasions. When we will post everything down, I’m sure she’ll get the news, check it out and it would all get better! ;)
It’s nice to find people like you, who share mostly the same interests as I. And refreshingly dedicated to their opinions!
Likewise!
