I really felt safe without Paris in fashion magazines! Now here she is at it again, doing only what she knows doing – posing. But why in Nylon Magazine?
I don’t see anything different about her. The same puppy looks, the same uninspired blonde branding herself into forever. And her Paris Hilton presidency parade that went completely viral. It’s like an ode to shallowness. All I see on this cover is Nylon, Paris and a huuuge title crossing the photo “try all you like, it’s all vain and in vain. I’m still there. Everywhere. Get use to it. Grow Paris likeness or you won’t be trendy and fashionable!”. How sad! What a celebrity-overload bitter aftertaste! Is this Nylon’s fashion avant-garde? (photos via tfs)

When I heard about this, my initial reaction was ‘no, not Nylon..!’ but now looking at this cover it looks like they’re doing it ironically, taking a subtle dig at the negative aspects of American society which Paris Hilton sums up so succinctly. Who else for the America issue than America’s biggest contemporary cultural export? Hopefully Nylon readers will see the funny kitschy side of it..
I think its all tongue in cheek too.
Delicious cheesecake and Paris does it all in playful derision.
Paris sums up the USA of today.
Take that for what you will.
All I can say is that I am glad that I am Canadian. : )
Good grief, people.
Paris Hilton is no more shallow than anyone else you see on magazine covers.
Actually, I like her a lot better than some of the “stars” who are presented by magazines as special.
