Harper’s Bazaar, the Fashion Special issue for October 2008 stars Liv Tyler on the cover. I decided to show you this because I’m puzzled by Liv.
I can’t really understand her weight. It seems to bounce in impossible ways from skinny to overweight in photo shoots away. I’ve seen her recently in two films. In fact two is rather forced because I couldn’t stand seeing The Strangers til the end even if I was curious to see Gemma’s acting. It’s one of those movies where you get a serious overdose of violence with no reason whatsoever. So that leaves me the first movie I saw lately starring Liv and Adam Sandler: Reign Over Me. I have to recommend you this one! It’s truly great! I won’t say another word by fear of spoilers, but do see it! Anyway, Liv’s characters almost always lack substance, she’s rather the same adorable Arwen the Elf princess from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Her characters are almost always based solely on her looks. (I know, I’m always happy when a pretext comes along to share some movies with you, so you have to pardon my lack of style talk for this one!) What do you think of Liv?

I like this cover too.Liv looks ultra glam.Like you,her looks perplex me too.She’s been thru her heavy phase and recently I saw her looking thin at a Valentino happening yesterday.I saw ‘Reign Over Me’ too and without divulging the plot,Liv did a great role as a psychiatrist.
Anyway I like Liv.
I’ve got a soft spot for Liv because people constantly tell me I look like her. I don’t see it, but it’s flattering enough to carve out a little place in my heart for her! I also kinda love her for having yo-yo weight like an actual, normal person. Unheard of in her industry, and ultimately natural.
All that said, she’s not much of an actress. ;)
This cover is much better to me than the La Lopez cover. Liv is beautiful and a real woman who’s weight goes up and down, I don’t know if its due to yo yo dieting or not, but at least she is real.
I like her as an actor and I loved her a Princess Arwen in TLOTR films. I will look for her in “Reign Over Me”. Yes I am sure that she is selected for her looks but most actors are cast for their looks as very few have real talent. Not everyone is a Helen Mirren or a Cate Blanchet who are both lovely and talented. But that being said I think she does a good job with what roles she is given. Oh and I adored her in “Onegin” she was great in that!
