If you’re inspired by all things navy and swimsuits, Anthony Vaccarello has you covered (well, sort of) for Spring Summer 2014 with his new collection presented at the Paris Fashion Week two days ago.
Faithful to his muse, Anja Rubik, but also to his dressing philosophy that looks more like un-dressing, Anthony Vaccarello teamed up with Stella Luna for yet another season of matching shoes. The ambitious aesthetic of both Vaccarello and Stella’s Stephen Chi seem to make a wonder fashion team.
As you’ve already seen from my previous fashion week stories, I’ll focus on the shoes for this show as well.
Vaccarello is a very hard to wear designer. By which I’m not implying that his designs would be complicated or too avant-garde but that they were constructed with a special woman in mind. And that woman seems to be nothing short of perfect. Especially the legs…
Endless pins, stick thin. There’s no room for mistakes in Vaccarello’s ultra-strappy handkerchiefs of outfits! A patch here, a patch there, anyone living the simple life on a desert island, away from civilization, could’ve filled her wardrobe from Vaccarello. Complete with shoes from Stella Luna, biensur!
Simple minded but looking all fancy and complicated, the Spring Summer 2014 from Stella Luna and Anthony Vaccarello follow the swim-theme of the collection in nuances of deep navy, black and red.
Hinting at sailing ropes, the high heels lift the entire body upper structure in a unmistakably fine sole architecture. The back zipper ensures a quick dress-up and dress-down and an aesthetic plus.
The general idea behind Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring Summer 2014 fashion show was to present a collection for the model-like active woman who likes to show off her perfectly waif thin body and her passion for swimsuits and navy-inspired outfits. He also made sure all the stylist trends were followed – black and white graphic, lasercut see through and layered looks – it’s all there, on his catwalk!
His spring summer beauty regime is simple – classic deep red nails and toe nails and back hand-combed hair. Less is more is definitely the way to go for Vaccarello! (images courtesy styledotcom)
