I may not always fall for Stella McCartney’s designs, but I do try to appreciate a stunning moment when I see one. As such, March 26th was a date to remember for Stella: she was awarded an Order of the British Empire by the very Queen!
The wide smile, the poised posture, the flawless outfit, the discrete head piece over the elegant low bun and the ah-mazing shoes! Stella sure knows how to show her fashion designer talents but also how to keep a low fashion key when necessary. Queen Elizabeth awarded Stella the OBE for her services to the fashion industry.
Congrats Stella McCartney! And thank you for all the excellent work you’ve done so far, may this be just the beginning!

I like her and her work ethics. Pitty she is wearing a literal copy of somebody else´s work here. She took tracing paper and copied DIOR’s Bar jacket.
would’ve been so much fun! To actually have her wearing Dior for the occasion!
I think she had a suit especially made for her, tailored after a Fall 2012 RTW pattern. :) I will add that picture too, if you want. Oh, and you can point me in the direction of the Bar jacket so I can make a side-by-side? How does it sound?
I am not a fan of Stella McCartney or her designs but good on her receiving an OBE.
The Bar jacket is not original either. Tailored jackets like this are classics and did exist way before the House of Dior opened it’s doors……
