I have been meaning to write about this since forever. Now is the perfect time, so I’m glad I held my tongue up until here.
The word is the new Mr Givenchy Fragrance has some worn out shoes he walks Paris in. The truth is, Mr Justin Timberlake is just a follower. We all remember Johnny Depp’s Red Carpet appearances wearing these impossibly worn shoes every single event. So the trend is set then?
There is a point in everyone’s life when clothes and shoes are least important, I’ve felt it too. But I’m just a fashion outsider, a bystander judging style from my comfy seat. The main players, however, I think they hold a responsibility towards themselves as well as towards onlookers.

‘With great power comes great responsibility’ and taking care of one’s appearance is one of them. Discerning the good style in a sea of trends changing every 3 months can wear off even the most innocent fashion soul out there! Let’s say that 2008 will be the year of distressed footwear and hope for better?
Although, honestly, Johnny looks like he kept a few items from the Sweeny Todd wardrobe! (the first image was taken on the Sweeny Todd premiere Red Carpet) JT might need a teleportation button, engageable asap towards a serene future when his boys band-reminiscent wardrobe will be curated by Tom Ford into an adult’s wardrobe!

Johnny Deep for ever…I don’t like Justin Timberlake…!
[…] da qui In Uomini Tags: Johnny Depp, justin […]
I like them both. Johnny Depp is a wonderful actor and Justin Timberlake is a pretty good singer and songwriter. They both also have their own style and dress the way the like. So for that I admire them both, ratty shoes and all!
Ah well that’s Johnny. And thats one of the reasons for the way he dresses. He’s one of my favorite actors. And I like his ever going on ‘I’m rebellious and do what I like attitude’. As far as celebs are rebellious.
I like his protected family life. That couple could be easily show-offs like the Jolie-Pitts. They just don’t and are humanitarians in silence.
Oh yes, Justin Timberlake….the guy has talent, I do no doubt that but Justin is a follower with everything he does.
To be honest I do not really care anymore about ads and whose the face of whatever brand. It doesn’t work for me. It take my attention away of the product lately.
I stare irritated or fascinated at another over photoshopped, botoxed or whatever celeb or model to look for something that’s real and seek for something I feel related too and that’s less and less lately………
I’ve just learnt what brand mascara Linda Evangelista wants us to buy since I see her for weeks (or months?) now in a tv-commercial. I was too distracted by the walking, talking doll whose face doesn’t move that everytime I missed the name of the brand that promise to provide me this wonderful luscious eyelashes.
Its not that long ago I called an actor and actor, a singer a singer, a model a model now it are just all celebs. Until today there’s no Dutch equivalent for that word. I fear the day we call our well-known Dutch celebs too……..
And further on that worn out boots? I’m used to this look certain youngsters, real rebels and in good way wear their boots like this…so…what’s new?I’m off topic am I?
Esto es típico en Johnny Depp siempre con sus cosas antiguas de toda la vida es un melancólico y no le interesa lo convencional es su manera de protestar, me parece atrevido y lo de Jutin es pura casualidad con otro estilo aún peor!
Hey all!
I must say that Justin has a nice style, even though he might imitated someone. I dont know, but he is great.
This leads me to my question.
What is the name of the boots justin wears?
ke onda ! el estilo de justin es el mejor ke les pasa ! estan mal ! y abran los ojos
Multiple celebs having worn down footwear is one thing but Depp’s boots are genuinely worn down and aged. While Justin’s (and any others) are most likely made to look that way. Just like the “hobo chic” crap from a few years ago. Pay thousands of dollars to look poor because you think it’s “cool.”
