You know, I’m perfectly willing to accept that I’m the only one seeing this. Which would normally worry me and bring me into a “I’m not imagining things” denial stage. However, a while back I was saying something about Cheryl Cole having a sad, long face on the cover of InStyle, remember?. Now I turn my head and I pop into lovely Michelle Williams on the cover of Elle UK, December 2011 looking all fragile and puppy – eye – begging for you to pick her up and hug her!
What’s wrong with all these needy December 2011 covers? Why can’t we just smile and get ready to party? Blue is the new happy? Vulnerable is the new glam?

She does look rather sad and wistful. Maybe she is trying to come down from her Marilyn Monroe jaunt?
But Michelle Williams does look lovely, and she is very talented too. : )
