Kelly Clarkson is now a married woman! While expressing our most sincere congratulations and well wishes is l’ordre du jour, how about we check out that gorgeous dress she was wearing?
After all, she really kept it all under wraps this time, didn’t she? After trying to plan a huge wedding, both Kelly and her then-fiancé, Brandon Blackstock, realized that it may be just a little bit too big? Too public? Too not their style? So they cancelled the ‘huge’ thing and went for a smaller, intimate, more personal ceremony this past weekend.
Located in eastern Tennesee, the Blackberry Farm looks so perfect and so adaptable (at just 25 minute drive from the Knoxville airport), just the right place to start a lifelong adventure! Not to mention that the farm was named Number One Small Hotel in America by the Zagat Survey (a ratings and reviews standard introduced and established by the Zagat family, acquisitioned by Google in 2011).
Enough with the settings, let’s concentrate on the happy bride, like we always do! No disrespect for the groom, but I do have a weakness for wedding dresses (wink). And the lacey, chic style worn by Kelly Clarkson is just on my fashion alley! Signed by Temperley London, the dress is part of the British house’s latest collection, Iris.
The Jessamine Dress worn by Kelly has long lace buttoned sleeves, the flowers embroidered lace overlaying the dress has a very vintage, boho look to it and although it was presented in the original collection’s context with a veil, Kelly opted out of the veil choosing a headpiece from – as she tweeted – ‘my friend @JimVerarros & Maria Elena’. Which can only mean one thing: Jim Verarros (former American Idol contestant) presented Kelly with a headpiece from Maria Elena headpieces & accessories for this wedding!
Lace and crystals for the Original American Idol who is relaxed and very laid back about all things fashion and even about the entire wedding as she had confessed in an interview last year. Now: I’m certain the entire bridal adventure wasn’t without help and they had someone taking care of the entire venue and the outfits were carefully chosen and arranged. But they do look oh-so good together and the dress fits perfectly in the Farm-ish décor as the images from AchetypeStudioInc help us frame the happy couple at their Sunday vows exchanging ceremony! Hopefully this piece will inspire future brides and upcoming weddings?
