During the fashion – filled days of London Fashion Week, I always keep an eye out for rich, surprising prints. And this is just one example to kick start what for me will always be a continuously amazing spree of rich prints & fabric motifs.
The first time she’s putting a show in her hometown, L’Wren Scott decided to make it a moment to remember. Substantially rich in prints, her Fall 2013 collection is one of those Red Carpet repertoires we’ll most likely see during the awards seasons and more.
Back to the rich prints – I continue to emphasize on ‘rich’ because L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection and the models presenting it were powdered with gold dust. The 24k kind!
As the sequins started flowing down the catwalk, so did the golden handpainted motifs or the golden body tattoos. Whether that fashion will catch or not, it certainly remains to be seen. What is surely sticking around is the old fashioned feminine silhouettes and old school glamour infused in every stitch, in every sartorial bias. I think these 10 looks I selected will tell you the glorious decadent story that L’Wren Scott Fall 2013 was! (images Marcus Tondo / InDigital / GoRunway; styledotcom)

I agree with everything you said. Glorious collection.
Nicole Kidman wore one of the looks yesterday .And girl, she looked divine.
I adore the lilac and silver swirl pattern coat!
Lovely! A lovely collection indeed! :)
I also like the lilac coat and the blue top plus golden skirt combi.
ana, I noticed Nicole in that blue dress too. What I did not like about it were those stitches on the neckline and cuffs. Just a detail that I found disturbing. But overall Nicole pulled the dress off nicely.
Yes Appollonia, the stitches bothered me too.
Thanks girl!! Sometimes I have these doubts…..I have not lost my “my inner fashionista”….{ahum} ;)
