This is a very vibrant cover, bright, strong colors and Karlie Kloss’ blue steel gaze. But it could also be classified as ‘last season’ as we all know, Karlie’s haircut has received no less than 6 pages in the January 2013 issue of Vogue US.
Photographed by Alex Lubomirski, styled by Belen Antolin with hair by Peter Gray and makeup by Tyron Machhausen, Karlie and her fire red Gucci dress make a charming cover, but the pictorial within surpasses it. Despite of her undeniable golden covergirl material, Karlie’s Vogue Spain February 2013 cover does not live up to Kate Moss’ last month’s Vogue Spain cover standards, but she’s making a great fashion magazine moment nevertheless.
Also, her pictorial was shot on location in Los Angeles, at the city’s County Museum of Art where there will be a movie museum opened soon in partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Not bad for getting the press attention needed and raising some funds, right?
I wonder why Anna Wintour didn’t use this opportunity herself… Or maybe she has a bigger agenda now that the second Inauguration is near, maybe, just maybe! Michelle Obama will finally grace the cover of Vogue? (it’s strange how she changed her haircut on her Birthday, isn’t it? Remember when Taylor Swift did Vogue? She received a hair makeover as well… Again, this is just speculation and the main focus here is Karlie. And the museum. And Vogue Espana. Ole!)

I like her better with the long hair.
