Talking about Family stuff: Anne Hathaway got married! Congrats to the young bride and her now – husband, Adam Shulman who celebrated the happy event in a very intimate ceremony Saturday night on California’s Big Sur coast.
Anne Hathaway’s white wedding dress is reportedly a custom – designed Valentino. She matched with a retro 20s inspired headpiece over her short haircut!
No hair extensions – they said! The new brides love short hair!
I know I said the dress was white, but with every new emerging detail, I came to realize that it was actually a soft cotton candy pink, just like Valentino’s drawing indicates it.
I also included the designer’s sketch below, so you’ll see exactly the concept style of the dress before going into actual production. Word has it that the dress was hand painted!
Yes, you’re reading that right, Anne’s Hathaway’s wedding dress was personally designed by Valentino Garavani for and with the bride to be but it was her headpiece that generated more buzz than the princess dress (no word about the shoes – I’m sure they would’ve received their fair share of admirative comments)…
The location itself was just as fairy tale-esque as the very gown: $60,000 worth of flowers and natural branches came to the rescue of the organizers who needed a blend of bohemian and country elements to match the Big Sur habitat accommodating over 150 participants.
Everyone had a vegan dinner and danced to Social Club’s jazz up until the morning’s DJ session with music from the 80es and the 90es.
