My dahlings? It’s (kinda) official: Hermes Birkin has lost its “It Bag” status. Accord to Forbes, Hermes Birkin bags remain highly popular in (and around) Singapore but that’s about it. Remember, little while ago, I marveled at a study stating that Coach has become no. 1 on the Luxury Bags market. Now that means two things: either the $10,000 Hermes Birkin is too expensive for the present financial situation, or they’ve simply become too popular to be fashionably appealing.
Hermes Birkins Aren’t Fashionable Anymore

I don´t think we can take the word of a 2o something wannabe fashion commenter as a fact, can we??
Besides, a contributor… not even paid for what he writes.
good and fair point. But if the word gets out (and it would appear it did – I read it on Huffingtonpost too), Hermes Birkin sales may suffer. After all, words can build an empire but they can also tear it to pieces. (I for one, feel blessed for not having the social pressure on my back, not having to cope with any social standards of luxury and .. you know, the type they promote in “rich kids of instagram”)
