The much buzzed – about cover of the British Elle magazine with David Beckham as the main and only focus point is officially unveiled. Elle UK July 2012 has a deeply inked aqua look; plus the usual Beckham frowned stare.
What’s good about men on magazine covers is that their skin is not over Photoshopped into baby – smooth skin, but on the contrary. Victoria Beckham’s more tattooed half talks about his style, describing it as “British Gentleman” and his past fashion choices, admitting that he’s laughing about some of them (especially the all – matchy looks).
Beyond the Beckham eye – candy issue, however, Elle prides itself with this. David Beckham’s Elle marks a special moment in the history of fashion magazines: the first solo male cover. Why? Because of the 2012 Olympics, biensur! Will you be buying, if given the opportunity?

David B seems to be aging well, and he looks good even though I am so not a fan of that many tattoos. Did you hear that he was given a 40% pay cut from his soccer/football team the Galaxy?
I wonder what he will do next since his playing years are in decline?
Becks is aging great! He’s so charming. Alas his tattoos shall interfere one day his gracefully older ageing… And at last a male on a cover!! Yesss!! I’m looking forward to some more nice guys on covers.
David get along great with children. So after this he’s the ideal trainer for young soccer players.
Totally agree with you both… Young David seemed so insipid to me.
When he retires I guess he will turn himself into a global brand?
Surprisingly I like this cover (but I am not a huge sport’s fan). Maybe they to have celebrity fatigue like the rest of us. This cover is a welcome change for me.
