Designers & eBay You Can’t Fake Fashion $200 Bags

You Can’t Fake Fashion is a great initiative started by eBay and CFDA (the Council of Fashion Designers of America) in their efforts to minimize the impact of counterfeit goods on original fashion. By substituting the fake goods with “Can’t Fake Fashion” goods.

And to be perfectly honest, judging by the looks of the totes created for the cause, they might stand a chance. Maybe. Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Robert Geller, Tommy Hilfiger, The Row and many other designers interpreted the anti – counterfeit tote in their manner. Each of the gorgeous bags below has a retail price of $200. If this tag worries you, reports state that a cheaper, standard version is available too. And that one costs $45. If you had to choose between an impeccably well made Hermes Birkin replica and one of the “Can’t Fake Fashion” totes, which one would you choose?

I like these totes! They are clever and a bit of stylish fun!
I would opt for both… save my coppers for the Birken but in the meantime get one of these nifty totes! I rather like the second and third ones pictured. : )

I have to say that you really should not promote the purchasing of ‘replica’ designer goods, however well made.

It’s an honest reality, Richard! and free will is not ours to judge… However, I can only be held responsible for my own choices and I, personally, would never, voluntarily, purchase / own / display a fake good. Besides being completely distasteful, I feel way more comfortable not following the logo – trends and show my brand affiliation through an easily recognizable label or monogram.

As far as I’m concerned, quality is not necessarily conditioned by this or that logo / monogram.
