How is your weekend? Nothing short of amazing, I hope! Getting ready for the big day tomorrow? Or simply catching your breath before a new week starts?
Anywhere and anything you do, I hope you’ll appreciate a good portion of rock’n’roll like in the old, golden days! Lenny Kravitz American Woman! (but did you know that this was originally a song written and recorded by a Canadian group called The Guess Who back in 1970? Happy Canada Day and Happy 4h of July everyone!)
Yes it was! And Lenny covered the song in 1998, also included on the Original Soundtrack of the second Austin Powers movie in 1999. Heather Graham, who also starred in the movie, is the “American Woman” from Lenny’s video. However, if you want to know how the original sounded and how much did Lenny actually changed from The Guess Who version, all you have to do is click below. So which one is your favorite?

Guess Who! Hands down. I love that 60/70’s sound. Guess Who’s guitar solo is stronger. The video is a plus too. Just a band as it ought to be, no “sexy chicks”. ;) :)
Hopes the Canadians had a great day yesterday so a Happy 4rth of July to you Americans.
Thanks ajginger! I had a stellar Canada Day with my family! It was lots of fun!
As for the song I like both versions.
Happy 4th of July to all the Americans! : )
