Tattoos And Flowers. Rick Genest, The New Fashion Sensation

For long time, tattooed individuals, especially the ones with higher percentage of inked skin surface than your average newspaper were not to be taken lightly. More tattoos, more seriously you have to be taken or else…

Now a heavily tattooed guy, Rick Genest, has found its way from Facebook to Fashion book as he took the world by storm with a little help from Thierry Mugler. Get ready to radically change your tattooed perspective associating (really) heavy ink with flowers and flowery jewelry! Fashion changes everything, doesn’t it? Yep, it’s me kinda cynical sometimes as you may know by now: The Newest One Day Fly Fashion Sensation.

Plus it’s old too. Tattooed people are around for some decades yet…..wheres the real inspiration? Yaaaaaawwwwwnnnn……

I watched Thierry Mugler’s Sons of Arcadia (as styled by Formichetti also) the other day and felt so…inspiration-voided! It’s like they don’t know what to do anymore and they turn themselves upside down and inside out just to make it (fashion) work. Is there really nothing more to innovate?

You’re not cynical, ajginger, you’re realistic! :*

Tattooed people may have been around for ages, but they weren’t accepted as high fashion models. I definitely find it more interesting to look at Rick Genest than some nameless male model who looks like all the rest.
