Anna Wintour’s Style Advice

The Webby Awards? Are you (the least) familiar with it? At least from what the name tells us, it’s about the web. The Webby Awards, as given out by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Science take place every year since 1996.

Though slightly controversial and profit – based, the Webbies (which require fees both to entry the nominations and also to attend the ceremony) are famous for more than just the award attributing in itself: they’re also famous for the five words speeches! And from the legendary “Can anyone fix my computer?” acceptance speech from Bestie Boys to this year’s Anna Wintour’s speech, anything goes, as long as it’s contained in those magical five – words sentences!

Anna Wintour accepted the Webby Awards for Best Fashion Magazine website (Voguedotcom) with the words: “Sometimes, Geeks Can Be Chic!”. We hear you! And although we were already promoting that here, we hadn’t had the Wintour blessing! Now we do and we’re moving on, convinced that the Geek is Chic! Hurray for Geeks!
