Naomi Campbell’s White Alexander McQueen Dress For Met Gala 2011

Talking about Miranda Kerr and how she attracted all the fashion stones casted by fashpurists who took her look as too ballerina-esque, here’s what I have to say: a single look at Naomi Campbell’s dress suffice to understand that Miranda was really a doll!

It’s a typical case of white gone wrong, not even bridal! Bridal would have saved this. But no. Naomi was wearing (to my sadness) a white Alexander McQueen dress. Which I can only describe as lovely. If it wasn’t for the fringed details hanging down from the bodice. That really ruins the dress and the entire delicacy of the otherwise exquisite dress. And that’s not the worse! Naomi’s hairdo and brooch, that’s the cherry on top! Would you defend Naomi? Why? (photos via)

No. It’s like she’s begging that guy to marry her at last. It makes me feel a bit sad for her watching his body language or it’s an unlucky shot? The dress is truly wonderful…..

It is? even despite those fringey hanging things? I thought those ruined everything :( I have yet to learn ;)

(he seems to be looking nicely at her, though…)

Argh, I been yet harsh enough on Naomi but you ask for it ;) I believe she has that fringe since her hairline isn’t what it used to be anymore?…*hides*…

ah, that yes, I know, there’s no harshness in it – just plain real authentic facts. However, this time I was talking about the fabric fringes hanging down from her dress’ bodice, on the sides… It doesn’t look like they’re part of the dress…

I love McQueen but that dress is rather dire, but I do like her hairstyle it reminds me of the hair in the film War and Peace.
Oh and Naomi’s Russian billionaire will not marry her for he is not divorced from his wife. They have been separated for over 10 years though.

Oh my. The strange ways of billionaires. Wives, models… Met Gala…

I love Naomi’s eyes. and eyes makeup. So beautiful!

Ellington, I know he’s married but separated. Like Audrey in War and Piece? Nooooooo….Naomi does look beautiful so yes, indeed especially her eyes, work well done. She looks almost innocent even sweet…..:)

Oh no,I don’t think that she looks like Audrey in that film, but the hair style is reflective of that time period. : )

If I was to judge things separately, I would, maybe, based on your suggestion, think about something romantic, old-ish and take Naomi’s hairdo on a positive note. However, looking at her look from head to toes, the hairdo doesn’t match the dress style.

I think there’s some kind of sartorial decomposition in that gown that just doesn’t meet the bow brooch and the sophisticated old school updo.

There’s something sad about Naomi…..

sad indeed. I wonder where all that temper lies right now… Or maybe those are just diva tantrums?
