I can understand many of the modern day’s artistic representations. I can even understand translating the mundane, the trivial into art. But Lindsay Lohan as art didn’t really cross my mind until now!
In a short movie directed by Richard Phillips and Taylor Steele which will be included in Richard Phillips’ “Commercial Break” from the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, Venice, Italy. I’m puzzled. Are we celebrating Botox? Bleached hair? Oh, I know – freckles – at least that is a valid reason to celebrate. We’re rarely seeing them around anymore, everyone’s photoshopping them out! (what exactly, from this video, reminds you of art?) (via)

Richard Phillips said on her:
“She can also bring forward an existential presence that speaks to the isolated self.”
and I ask: selling the activity of your pelvic region to the media in order to promote a failing acting career also speaks to the “isolated self”?
It sounds more like the glorification of trash culture than “art” .
opportunism anyone??
I so agree with you mdinah! I have another question, why does she keep on getting chances when she messes up all the time and does not seem to care? There must be other talented women out there who would love her opportunities but who also not mess it up and act like a jagweed!
I am beyond tired of Lindsay Lohan.
@mdinah – trash is so hip right now? Like I could wear my dinner leftovers as a headpiece? like ummm totally?
@Ellington – the only answer I can come up with is because drama draws attention and in the business, attention equals money? They’ll suck her dry and leave her for useless in the end :(
