Lara Stone’s Elle Netherlands December 2010

Lara Stone on a magazine cover. Isn’t that new and original? Now when it comes to this December 2010 cover, things are completely different. Lara Stone cartooned for Elle Netherlands is quite a new perspective over the Holidays magazines covers!

Keeping it seasons fit, the cover keeps on growing on me. I don’t know if it’s because there’s no actual Lara on the cover but a crayoned version of hers or… What do you think? Is this a fashion worthy cover? (Elle via)

I’m not fond of this cover. I’ve almost the same critic as on Angelina’s Vogue cover: not festive Christmas-ish. And I wish we Dutch stop to use English! (Says the patriot! ;)) Dutch ELLE is good. Better than her foreign sisters. Always models on the cover. Well, always almost. :)
This drawning can be any girl and not cover worthy.

Really? I thought it was very festive. Much more than Vogue (the one with Angelina, of course)! It almost felt old-school festive… Oh, yes, indeed, the writing in English! funny! It’s only Elle? or more magazines use English for their titles?

Oh, I like the cover a lot but I believe I like a warm old fashioned Christmassy feeling?

As for the English title? We have groups here to save our own language. That’s also to me important for our culture. The post would be too long to describe all the English we use everywhere whether it’s a magazine or whatever even in our daily conversations. I try to avoid it but I caught myself so often using English…..:(
