Are you familiar with Kid’s Wear magazine? Founded in 1995 by the renowned photographer Achim Lippoth, Kid’s Wear magazine is dedicated, just as the title announces it, to children’s fashion.
With a little help from esteemed photographers and writers, the magazine puts together two issues a year (over 250 pages of childhood, fashion and contemporary lifestyle issues) published in German, English and Italian. The critics weren’t insensitive at the charms of Kid’s Wear magazine, thus awarding the publication with major recognition titles (recently, Kid’s Wear was honored by the Art Director’s Club NY and the Art Director’s Club Deutschland). At their 31 issue or volume like they call it, the Fall Winter 2010 2011 Kid’s Wear magazine issue looks like this. Pretty intense for a children’s magazine, eh? I imagine Tavi, the fashprodigy has grown up feeding on Kid’s Wear. It looks like her type of cultural / educational light fashreading!
However, I came to know Kid’s Wear by following another lead – the one talking about Achim Lippoth’s Puppen Exhibition. In collaboration with White for Kids, the exhibition presented seven kids / models who were wearing white (more or less) from the SS 2011 collection. The exhibition took place in Italy, Milan, from the 27th to the 29th June 2010 and looked marvelously strange. In a good way. I think. What say you? (Kid’s Wear via)
