I’m a dress girl, remember? And anything dress-like melts my heart and fills me with sartorial joy! Anna Sui Spring Summer 2011 collection did just that!
The ethno simplicity and the hippy charm were enough to bring me to a happy place, somewhere countryside where the sun shines bright and puts that gorgeous smile on the models faces! Clearly receiving the same stylists consignment to pick a seventies related theme for the collection, Anna Sui did her best to highlight that and still have fun while doing it. (more images right after the jump and a catwalk video)
It may not be the most avant-garde and noire couture out there (and that’s something I’m thankful for), but Anna Sui’s collections make me safe in such a mad, mad catwalk world. Smiling is good, girly is good and country is definitely good. Give me a wardrobe full of Anna Sui and I’d feel like celebrating life with every garment I’d wear! Frills and thrills, the emotions of light and positivism through fabrics, I’m sold! Is it spring yet? (you can see photos of the entire collection here)
