There was definitely something blue in the air at the 2010 edition of the Screen Actors Guild Awards! So many blue, blue-ish gowns! Is blue the new black? Or just some silent way to bond without really telling us why?
Let me introduce you to the 2010 SAG Sea of Blue Dresses: Tina Fey! Charming Tina Fey opted for a knee-long blue Ferragamo dress with draped V-neck. Undoubtedly a great choice for she looked adorable holding up her award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series! (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the blue SAG Awards 2010 gallery)
Gabourey Sidibe put on a breathtaking electric blue red on and she was the picture of happiness, holding hands with her equally lovely mamma (even if they didn’t take home a SAG award).
We talked earlier about Julianna Margulies, Drew Barrymore and even Sandra Bullock so I’ll keep it short with them. But there’s also Jenna Fisher, The Office darling who’s wearing a bedazzled navy blue bustier dress looking all pretty and Red Carpet fit.
Next are the blue hues, soft, romantic, dreamy shades of blue: lovely Christina Applegate went for a Roberto Cavalli gown, all Red Carpet perfect, though blue-ish.
Vera Farmiga’s blue sky dress was created by J. Mendel and she chose it wisely since it complimented her complexion wonderfully.
There’s Anna Kendrick wearing a purple dress (which we can put under a shade of blue, right?), from Alberta Ferretti and Betty White who was honored with a lifetime achievement award was blue and happy.
Getting all creative but still blue: the gorgeous Meryl Streep and Grecian goddess Samantha Harris.
So what say you? Blue is the new Red Carpet black or not? (photos via 1, 2)

Back in St. Olaf……. there must have been something good in the water. Seeing her make me feel a bit blue…..:))
Blue is the new trend colour of the season. So it will be every where and in everything now.
Betty White looks lovely, she is great! I also love Meryl Steep’s dress, Tina Fey’s, and Christina Applegate’s.
I hate that! I love colours. I like purple, lilac and such as we saw the last season. But the misery of the dictated trends is that it will be every where and in everything now. So I’m going back to black…..or I keep on wearing black…..Again no green, or every where and in everything now.
(Sorry Ellington :D)
Blue is an okay trend. I think white and purple are such the hits and surely there will be large impact at the Oscars or Grammy’s.
