I’ll start this story by stating one fact clear: I like Jennifer Garner. I do! I like her for the star she tries to be and I like her for the mother/woman she really is! (Jerry Maguire, anyone?)

I like her seriousness and commitment, I appreciate her modesty and talent. She’s a happy mother of two wonderful little girls besides being an active actress and she’s now on the cover of W Magazine, January 2010.

Since W Magazine’s Demi Moore highly retouched cover seemed like only yesterday, I was sure they won’t make the same mistake twice. I was wrong! Not only they flawless-ed Jennifer for the cover, but I wouldn’t have guessed it was her if they wouldn’t have put her name with half-the-cover-big letters! Did you recognize her at first? (oh, and please note how unhappy the hand that placed the +70 right next to Jennifer’s face!)

The pictorial is unusually sober and dark for Jennifer Garner whom we’re most used to seeing smile from under her heavy bangs. (she’s not a dark hair girl. She went brunette for her Valentine’s Day role – I can’t wait to see that movie, I tell you that!) Also she’s wearing some pretty edgy outfits making her even less familiar. However, we do love surprises and radical changes. If they’re for the better. Now tell me, is Jennifer Garner’s W Magazine January 2010 pictorial for the better?
