There’s something girly and lovable about Guerlain I always appreciated and felt close. For their Fall Winter 2009 2010 collection, they went with a Beauté Slave theme and chose Natalia Vodianova as spokesface.
With names and colors evoking Russian specificities, Guerlain’s new collection’s star product seems to be the Volga Princess. It’s an eyes and lips palette with light pink and brown in an embroided silver metallic cassette. (the story continues right after the jump!)
It’s all inspired by the fabrics worn by Russian princesses as well as the rich tapestries surrounding them. You know I’m not into makeup, but I appreciate the aesthetics of this collection. It’s a pleasure to see such vivid colors for winter, isn’t it? (even if Natalia Vodianova doesn’t remind me of a Russian Princess in this ad) (via)
