Mary Kate Olsen, is that really you? Last we saw you, you were the grey queen at this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala.
You were looking every inch the Queen of Boho Style and Dubious Fashion in a slick Christian Lacroix dress. But today it’s another story: MK, are you alright? It seems everyone is worried and speculating over your weight and health (and in all reason as anorexia has always been in your life), although a less-glamorous appearance can make people think that something’s wrong!
Growing up in the spotlight is hardly easy for anyone and Mary Kate Olsen’s image troubles can be the perfect indicator of that. Out of the 27 years since her birth, 26 of those were spent in front of the filming cameras, acting in this and that movie (mostly for TV). She shared the hot spot with her twin sister, Ashley Olsen, but out of the two, Mary Kate was the one who got the controversy side of the dime.

Battling with anorexia nervosa for a while, she decided to seek treatment and enter a rehab facility in 2004. Five years later (when the first picture above was taken), she seems to be going round that eating disorder point still.

When Heath Ledger, a dear friend of Mary Kate’s, died in January 2008, the two were so close, that she had to answer questions about who provided Heath with the substances he’d use prior to his death. That may have scared her enough as to (one) quit whatever bad habit she shared with Heath and (two) try to overcome her eating disorders once and for all.

Since 2009, Mary Kate seems to be on a steady weight, looking normal, healthy and even happy – since 2012 she’s having her longest relationship up to date. Rumors even circulated about her engagement to Olivier Sarkozy, her boyfriend of two years (and half brother of France’s ex president, Nicholas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni’s husband). Hopefully, Mary Kate Olsen found her balance in more ways than the scale shows!

Well I do hope that she is doing well. She looks as though she has gained a bit of weight. Good for her if she is doing it in an effort to be healthy.
I hope she gained weight because she eat healthy. I’ve doubts though since she looks bloated here.
