Or at least not for Vanity Fair it doesn’t! Gisele Bundchen’s almost nude cover for Vanity Fair May 2009 wasn’t as high seller as expected!
Actually, that May issue has sold in only 280,000 copies which makes the Gisele exposée cover the lowest-selling Vanity Fair issue in two years (Vanity Fair averages 342,000 single copy sales per month)! That’s quite scary, isn’t it? Time for a change, Gisele (hope those pregnancy rumors are true)! (or maybe it’s time for a serious marketing revolution!) (NY Observer via Popcrunch)

LOL! Sorry, I buy only the Vanity Fair’s with males on the cover. Well, I’ve bought two of late. The one with Barack Obama, was an interesting issue too and the one with an [almost] natural looking handsome Johnny Depp has just arrived in my bookstore. Ready to pick up.
Why should I buy a naked Gisele or other women? I see so many on the web!
I’ve always been an avid magazine buyer but why should I since I can find so much on the internet? It’s a waste of money to me these days.
I think the market revolution is already a fact……hopes to read some other opinions?
Yes Adriana, I whole heartedly agree with you. I would not buy this cover with the semi nude Giselle. I really don’t want to look at that, or read an article about her.
LOL! I just noticed the headline of the Gisele article! Right……
Indeed you can get a good laugh with that title! They’re really up to anything when it comes to selling magazines! I wonder how Gisele will be ranked at the end of this year among models (since she’s obviously having a somewhat sabatical year)!
