Time has passed and Rihanna resurfaced after her on-off incendiary relationship with Chris Brown. I don’t know if it’s her agent telling her to play low or it’s plain ol’ common sense that’s keeping her sweeter and calmer than before, but it suits her.
Talking about suits – she made a brilliant appearance on the Red Carpet for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2009 Gala wearing a tux by Dolce & Gabbana. Black and shiny with bouffant shoulders, Rihanna’s suit starts by being amazing and ends up being questionable. I always had something against elegant pants looking like leggings. In my head, elegant is somewhat larger than what Rihanna wears as suit pants for the Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion May 2009 Gala. How does it look like to you? I really enjoy the Met Ball. What a distraction.
Very 80’s this outfit. It depends on the woman who wears this pant suit. Though the shoulders are a bit too much for me overall it does look good on Rihanna.
I like the tux on Rihanna it looks feminine and whimsical. I think that if the trousers were traditional it would have been a tad too masculine. She looks cute. : )
I’m not a fan.. for me, Rihanna often looks rather ridiculous because she doesn’t dress her age. She’s only 21, but she goes round looking clueless in all this full-on high fashion which would look more natural on women a decade or more older.
And then there was that bizarre Lady Gaga-esque outfit the day after the met ball..
