Interview Magazine’s February Issue featured an interesting article with Lindsay Lohan. (no, I’m not in a Lohan-phase, but I came across some new pictures of her and I wanted to bring out the similarities between the new discovered ones and the famous Interview photoshoot our friend, Adriana, told me about a while back).
Interview‘s interview was conducted by Lauren Hutton (I doubt it was her who really worked the questionnaire) but the pictures were stunning.
Photographed by Mert and Marcus, Lindsay was no more LiLo, she wasn’t breathing gossip through her every pore, she was something else. Revamped by Mert and Marcus, she really looked good! (the story continues after the jump! Don’t miss the gallery with Lindsay’s pictures by Mert and Marcus and Hedi Slimane!)
Lindsay’s acting career is now a moment of remembrance for she no longer receives interesting parts (that if you count out the unbelievable comedy hit Fornarina!) and her personal life is a continuous tabloid telenovela. Molding her into whatever shape is a challenge because everyone (and their dog) knows Lindsay Lohan.
Mert and Marcus managed to bring out the woman in Lindsay, La Lohan! On the other hand, Hedi Slimane’s black and white portraits of the same Lindsay are strikingly different. Not only she looks like a misfit teenager, but they have that androgynous look and feel, that tabloid quality Lindsay is so banned for.
Because everything about her screams frivolity, every time I look at her, I imagine that’s how Dorian Gray must have looked. Which one of the two photoshoots do you prefer? The Interview with Mert and Marcus or Hedi Slimane’s troubled androgynous always-the-same look? (you can read Lindsay’s Interview by Lauren Hutton here)

Mert and Marcus! Especially the cover. I’d really love the cover.
Hedi Slimene is great but it are always the same, same shoots no matter whose in front of his lens and then it’s the model who makes or breaks the photos for me.
I’ve no doubts that Lindsay is talented but if it’s her background, the tabloids, her love life that’s so damaging……I’ve no clue. The entertainment industry is not a healthy place. Never has been but there was more silence in the past. Only the strong ones and the ones that protect their privacy seems to survive.
Kpriss, you do question if this was Lauren herself? I’d found it interesting enough to read. Lauren did well. To me she’s one of the best models ever. In her days the didn’t call models ‘supermodels’. She sure was one. No is one! And she’s an interesting woman. Let’s face it, whom of the supermodels is really an interesting woman?
Dorian Gray? Lindsay? LOL I bet the whole entermaintent industry have mirrors on their attics!
(I’m not in LL phase either, I’d like this cover , the shoot and the interview…..)
Loooooooong…….oops!
I like both sets of photographs of Lindsey and I am not a fan of hers.
She does not look her age, she looks like she is in her 30’s, and that’s just sad, considering she is only in her early 20’s.
Kpriss Dorian Gray stayed young while his portrait aged and carried his sins, is the opposite happening to Lindsey?
The colour photo reminds me of the Duran Duran album cover for Rio.
Ellington I agree. Lindsay looks much older. That’s sad and unusual in the entertainment business.
I really can’t imagine Lindsay looking androgynous.
