I have to admit I was secretly hoping Vicky Cristina Barcelona’s Penelope Cruz wins the Golden Globe. Not necessarily because she gave an outstanding performance playing the estranged and deranged wife, but because the movie is such fun to watch! Only instead of winning for Best Supporting Actress, Vicky Cristina… was awarded with the Best Picture, Musical or Comedy Golden Globe! Well done!
Penelope Cruz usually plays it safe for the Red Carpet. Safe with a twist. This time it was just safe. The twist is when you concentrate on seeing the catch of the dress. Because there is none. I like Penelope and I know its Armani but she looks quite uncomfortable in this oh so fitted coloumn.She looks like she’s holding up the dress from falling and spilling out her boobs.
This kind of dress is always risky and accidents are known to have happened.

I wish more would wear the likes of Lanvin(Maggie looked great), Guy Laroche, Balenciaga, Balmain, Givenchy, Rodarte, Giambattista Valli, Vivienne Westwood, Gaultier, even some vintage Gres, Vionnet, or Charles James.
