Anne Hathaway on the cover of Vogue for their first 2009 issue. Which Vogue? Vogue US, of course!
Anne Hathaway is one of those girls you either like, either profoundly dislike. I tend to be on the bad side for this one… I liked her in “The Devil Wears Prada”, I even thought nice of her in “Get Smart”, but I still don’t think she’s a beautiful woman. This Vogue cover must be one of those marketing tricks (the kind that lead us into mislabeling Jennifer Aniston’s Vogue dog-feature) for a new movie. Either that, or she’s remastering her image by boosting herself on cover magazines after her troubled personal life. Is Anne one of your darlings? Why? (photos style.com via tfs)

I haven´t seen such a terrible picture on a cover since Janet Jackson on W…
I like Anne Hathaway. She is pretty not beautiful, and she is a talented actor. She is not over processed or overtly skinny like her contemporaries and I think that she is one of the ones who will have longevity in her career.
Oh but yes that Vogue cover of her is a tad dire.
Anne Hathaway has a kind of overwhelming beauty to me.She’s blessed with features that perhaps need to be toned down a little.Nature was generous with her and probably a little drunk at the time.
I like her too and its funny to read this because I saw her on TV today in Princess Diaries and she was funny. She has a natural charm and I remember at the time thinking she was the new Julia Roberts.
Having said all that I find this cover Not overwhelming!
Eek! I dont know about you guys but she looks SCARY in that cover. Egad. Someone in Vogue needs to get fired!
Anyone ever watched that horror movie ‘It’ based on the novel by Stephen King?? The one with the killer clown?……. Yeah, that’s what the cover reminds me of.
LOL Serenity you brought me down to earth. I was being kind to Anne because I like her but I have to admit the cover’s awful LOL!
Yes I remember the film It with Tim Curry I think.Like I said Anne’s features do tend to get overwhelming at times.I’m sure the editorials inside are nice but I have’nt seen the issue yet.
The cover looks oddly like the pic was stretched a little and rinsed in artificial sunlight.Sigh.
I don’t hate her but I do not like her that much either. I think she looks scary too on this cover. I find her boring, I’ve no clue why she’s so hailed as an actress and because of her “Magnifique” beauty……Sorry, I’ve an overdose Anne H. I believe. I’ve a celeb overdose anyway…..I miss desperately a certain magic on the big screen since I’ve to think of brands/labels.
But the cover’s lay-out looks much better, less cheap than we’ve seen in ages from Vogue US.
P.S. OMG that Stephen King’s killer clown. Now I’ve never been a fan of clowns as a child so this film did scare the hell out of me….arrrghhhh….clowns….why do they torture children with clowns?
