If you missed a little Murakami to bright up your days, here’s the new product featuring Takashi Murakami’s unmistakable signature drawings: Levi’s Fenom!
Yes, it’s about jeans! Made for the upcoming exhibition Hi & Lo, Murakami Levi’s Fenom have a dull look and feeling. Drawing white contoured flowers on denim isn’t all that glamorous or artsy to me. I think, however, the jean will score big on the street if and when it will be mass produced. Until that day comes, the Hi & Lo exhibition where the Levi’s Murakami Fenom will be presented opens its doors between October 31st – November 15th 2008 in KaiKai Kiki Gallery, Takashi Murakami’s Gallery from Tokyo. Would you say these Fenom jeans in collaboration with Levi’s are more appealing than the Monogramouflage made with LV?

Yes I would. I like the design, its fun, cute and playful and not over bearing. Levis makes comfortable and marketable jeans that appeals to almost everyone. I would love to have a pair with this design on them. : )

Then we’d better hope for mass production! ;)
I’m a fan of plain jeans, no embroideries, no polka dots on, no bling on. And I must admit, even if I tried on a few, Levi’s doesn’t fit me right…
