Charlize Theron Vs Katie Holmes Chloé Python Paratay Bag

It’s not easy to be original (we’re talking style, fashion, of course). And if you thought being rich makes it somehow easier, don’t! Here’s the perfect proof:

Katie Holmes has a strong manifested obsession with the Chloé Paraty Bag in black Python. I know I came with the Fendi Secret Code Bag just the day before, but can we add this Chloe and make a solid assumption that Katie’s bag style is definitely going for the flop? (not that her overall style was somewhat at the top). In case you were asking if it’s more of an expensive (around $ 4,000) exotic obsession (since she’s only carrying snake skin), I’d say it’s just a costing fashion faux pas. Or at least that’s what I thought up until I saw Charlize Theron with the same Chloe Paraty Bag, only in white. Bad taste is viral? (you can admire Katie and her everyday Chloé Paraty Back Python Bag right after the jump)

3000…4000…the sums keep getting vulgar. And I’m sure these ‘stars’ get the bags for free of course.Maybe because of some discreet agreement they have to show up in public with the bags sometimes.

I won’t be surprised if these were freebies to show off…the richer and famous the more you get for free. Maybe some of there many gifts can go to the people who are hurt by nature-disasters? And without noise please?

I’m so sure my very much cheaper smaller label bags are far more orginal and my own style than this. No, I’m even convinced about that!

$3000.00-$4000.00 for a bag.
And the labels all wonder why and complain that their products get knocked off. This must be stopped they say! Well I say they must be stopped from being allowed to charge so much for things. I can understand the time and effort that goes into making a product well and sound, but I would like to know how much of that $3000.00 is actually materials & workmanship, and how much is it actually markup?
Oh and this bag is much better looking than the vile snake skin thing she was carrying. They should have left the snake alone!

@ Ellington, if we see how the big designers, CEO’s and some more people involved in the industry live in such luxury a normal person can hardly imagine I do understand why these products are that expensive! Same goes for their ‘by products’ as the accessories, make-up and beauty-care lines….and yes, they should have left the snake where it belongs and thats not on someone’s arm as a handbag!

sorry you are all obviously haters, the bag is hot, and it’s beautiful. as for the price—it’s elementary economics, supply is limited, demand is high because of the attractiveness of the bag, thus price is high so that supply and demand are at equilibrium, and as for the comments that people make knock offs in the and sell them which is better—those knockoffs are funded by child labour and slavery so excuse me if i prefer a dead snake to an exploited child, if people want to buy the bag and they can afford it, fantastic. Stop hating because you can’t.

Well Cassy good for you but I honestly hope that a) you have a good interest rate and b) that you pay more than the minimum payment monthly.
Enjoy your new toy. : )

Zena no one said that the knock offs are better, I said I am not surprised that they are made.
Child labour is abhorrent and reprehensible. Also its not just elementary economics in terms of supply and demand, nothing is ever simple and economics, macro and micro are certainly not simple in application or understanding.
Also there were no ‘ haters’ just different people expressing opinions on the excess and extremes in the cost of products.
Oh and in closing how do you know that I or any of the other commentators on this topic cannot actually afford this bag?
Maybe we have a concerned view on how things are made and where they come from and are not just thrilled by the next shiny and latest must have like a magpie?
Sorry if this comes across as a diatribe but I am beyond tired of people commenting on others comments without actually reading and understanding the context of said comments.
Oh and the bag is cute but the snake skin one was heinous.

Ellington I only like to say “I rest my case”!

Okay do you even do your research. It costs $1,500, less than half what you said it costs. Why don’t you look before you post an illinformed blog.

I wonder if Cassy still believes everything is accessible with a credit-card………

@Peach, is it possible this is the sales price?
