Judith Leiber Uber Bling Handbags

Did you ever considered paying $5,995 for a bouquet? Or $3,395 for a butterfly? If not, maybe a $5,495 pineapple would be more your cup of tea?

Of course, there’s always the bitter choice of a slice of lemon for only $2,795. It’s only handbag-talk! Strange shaped, small, blingful and outrageously expensive, but handbags nonetheless. And it gets even more serious: animal-shaped minaudieres (pictures right after the jump).

Get your very own ready to carry allover, already blinged dog and/or cat, snake or bird just to carry on on a strap. Or, if you’re feeling more spiritual, your own colorful little Buddha. What do you think? Worth spending a little fortune on these little blingies?

Nooooooo, sometimes I really wonder if they continue on their present heading all this luxury where this will end? I can’t afford it and do not desire it either. Its for such a small group of buyers.

I just phoned a shop where I was last week for that great one-piece bag which costs €400 and its multi-functional too…I couldn’t get the bag out of my head….and tomorrow that bag is mine as worthy to me as all this bling-bling which is not meant for us ‘lesser mortals’…But tomorrow I look great with my bag which I can mix and match with a several outfits..and its that great that it makes a simple casual outfit looks more interesting and that for €400?

I know it’s actually ridiculous, but I like the idea behind the handbags. It has nothing to do with fashion, only with earning money. But I can appreciate the artists who designed these handbags. The butterfly handbag is in my view the most wearable of these.
