There’s a new superhero breeze hitting the shores of the world. Like someone in the film industry knew how insecure the system gets day by day…
Anyway, if superhero trend supporter Anna Wintour doesn’t convince you with the upcoming Met event, if Gwyneth Iron Man.. ahem Gwyneth and the Iron Man don’t work wonders on your wrinkles as shown in Vogue, maybe brit wonder Sienna Miller will. At least her superdeeds are set to appear in 2009 with G.I. Joe movie currently filming.
It’s not much, as you can see, it’s the eternal fascination for Catsuits, leather catsuits, leather gloves and high heels. There’s something puzzling me, though – how can you be a superhero and work superdeeds if you have a superdifficult wardrobe to put up with? Either you put it on today and leave it for days so you’d be ever ready to save the world, either you…. I don’t know?! You tell me!
I for one, preferred Kate Beckinsale in the Underworld Evolution Superhero thing. On a second look, Sienna seems a Kate lookalike. Only less convincing. What about you? Who’s your favorite catsuit superhero?

Yes, definitely a Kate lookalike.
My heart will always belong to Michelle Pfeiffer’s catwoman. I mean, ok, she’s sewing latex together from her wardrobe, how unrealistic can it get, but, stitchy Tim Burton catsuit? Yum!
I love Michelle Pfeiffer as catwoman too. Lol, I thought almost the same thing about that latex custom, true story. And I adore Tim Burton movies….
It’s is getting boring to agree all the time but: Kate wins!
Oh, no, au contraire, my dear Adriana ;), it’s encouraging!
Michelle was indeed charming. I just wonder how it’s like to save the world wearing (killer) high heels?
it seems kate’s outfit is more a copy of sienna’s outfit as if you know, her part as The Baroness, her costume is meant to be leather (put in words). People grew up facing the fact that The Baroness’ outfit is like that, whereas The Underworld Evolution is just a film!
just my opinion…
Speaking about movie heroins although its a bit off topic but I just watched ‘Alien’ again and I still find it one of the most brilliant Sci-Fi/Horror movies I’ve seen in my life. Its pure genius. With the scary art of Giger’s alien, the marvelous set/art decorations, you name it this is a perfect movie. With a good taste hero. Her natural sexy look where you see here pores sweat, no make-up, great looking in her work-gear and just her underwear at the end. That white T-shirt only became a fashion item….If one can ‘save us’ its Sigourney Weaver:
“This is Ripley the last survivor of the Nostromo.”
As for me I loved Emma Peel from “The Avengers”. I used to love watching Diana Rigg and Patrick Macnee in “The Avengers” after school!
Emma Peel wore catsuits with style, class, verve and panche!
@ Ellington, oh how could I’ve forgotten fo the most stylish of them all: Diana Rigg’s Emma Peel. Of course! Thanks for the reminder. We had re-run some years of “The Avengers” and I still loved it.
I for one agree with Adriana. Sigourney Weaver was the best of the best women heroines. If I was in need of saving Ripley would be my woman over any sexy clad heroine in tight leather. No one can drag me away bleeding by my foot like Ripley can.
For best catsuited comic character, I have to go with Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt as Catwoman. One of these days, hopefully we’ll get a live-action Harley Quinn.
I am not buying Sienna Miller as a super anything, leather or no! For a start, wouldn’t a bad guy have a field day with all that hair? I would grab her by the tresses and swing her around in the air like some bolos myself! That outfit might be leather but it looks STIFF and unyielding. I have visions of Sienna playing the Baroness like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz.
And I would LOVE to see her sprint in those nosebleed heels!
Kate B is definitely more convincing in this race. Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux is too. Heck, anyone who has the sense to keep their hair short and/or tucked out of sight gets my vote!
I predict Razzies. Lots of them.
