Lingerie For Everyone To See
December 27th, 2010 by kpriss
Ever since her Gaganess made her way into the world wearing less pants and less tops than any of us dare to in the very privacy of our homes, the lingerie items we usually kept underneath claim their right to coming out.
It’s something I’ve always cringed outside the stage where the likes of Cher and Madonna (and I’m sure many others) promoted this kind of entertaining costume. Wearing your lingerie for everyone to see, purposely, just doesn’t sound good or fashionable enough to me. If you’ll scroll down, you’ll see just why.
A recent Face Hunted drew my attention because she was wearing her bra on her tee. (and even though I think I spot a second bra underneath the tee – correct me if I’m wrong – her daring lingerie move doesn’t strike me as fashionable). She’s a very pretty young lady, photographed in Kuala Lumpur, wearing something you will help me describe by casting your vote after the first image!

Taylor Momsen’s John Galliano Parlez Moi D’Amour Perfume
December 27th, 2010 by kpriss
I usually love Ellen Von Unwerth’s work. And I would love this one too. Except it’s a video (you know, in the Crazy for Eva genre). And a pretty neurotic one too! Taylor Momsen, l’enfant terrible of rock music (more enfant than terrible) is the very star of John Galliano’s Parlez Moi D’Amour perfume video ad (remember the first images we’ve had the pleasure of seeing a while back).
And she’s also singing for it – her voice is what you hear in the background, singing “You”. And it doesn’t sound that bad, does it? The message I’m getting from this commercial, however, is that Galliano aims for the young ones. Wouldn’t you say? (via)
The Adventures Of Santa Lagerfeld
December 27th, 2010 by kpriss
I can’t believe Christmas is already behind us! I still have those twelve days of Christmas to last me until next year (yep, the twelve days of Christmas start the 25th of December, not the 14th). So.. it’s not really over, is it?
Join me for a good Kaiser laugh, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without him! Karl Lagerfeld (and Anna Wintour) as seen by Alexsandro Palombo (we’ve met him before, so it’s no wonder it sounds familiar). They sure had some fun this Christmas! How about you? How was your Christmas? (don’t get me started with mine – suffice to say we had some digestion issues with the kids – some nasty virus somehow found its way into our home and our youngest caught it, as well as our daughter. It’s been quite an interesting Christmas, I might add!)

Merry Christmas Everyone!
December 25th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s that special time of the year when the only fashion in the air is red and green, with golden and silver accents! There’s no other fashion like it and I love it above any other season!
It’s the Holiday Season! Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all gathered around the Christmas tree with your loved ones, celebrating the joy of sharing and giving in the most wonderful time of the year! I’m happy to spend yet another Christmas with you – our fourth! Right after the jump you’ll find Doris Day’s Silver Bells. A wonderful Christmas classic! (photo via)

Erin Wasson’s Low Luv
December 22nd, 2010 by kpriss
Talking about the fashnicest of them all, here’s Erin Wasson, model extraordinare and fashion designer now turned jewelry designer. After promoting a special grungey attitude towards fashion and fashcreativity, Erin has stepped up her fashion game. Finally.
Showing her true colors, Erin Wasson was pictured by Paola Kudaki wearing her new jewelry line: Low Luv. The Spring/Holiday collection as showcased here by Erin drew inspiration from the new things that she finds interesting and powerful. Thus her collection features Native American inspired pieces and Middle Eastern flavored jewelry. What happened to the homeless chic, Erin? You just had to bling it, eh? (via)

Who Was Fashnice This Year?
December 22nd, 2010 by kpriss
While the season of naughty or nice was approaching, the fashblogosphere was buzzing about a certain contest held under the Sunglass Hut name. A lucky fashblogger was to become a full time blogger for Sunglass Hut: during a period of 12 months, he or she would move to New York (in a furnished apartment offered by the Sunglass Hut), would receive $100,000 compensation, $1,000 monthly allowance and more. That, translated for the fashblogosphere, was Santa Sunglass Hut and they had to prove they were pretty fashnice this year!
In the sweetest Christmas tradition, thousands of applicants have queued up, eager to prove to Sunglass Santa that they were the fashnicest of all. The competition has now reached a ten Blog off status where ten of the best fashionistas who want to become full time fashbloggers for Sunglass Hut must compete against each other. There can be only one… (curious about more, you can check out the website associated with the blog off here)
Murakami Versailles, The Book
December 22nd, 2010 by kpriss
Remember when I told you I loved different perspectives of the same thing? Changing the common way we’re used to look around us is something privileged and I for one, I’m absolutely loving it!
When I heard that the palais of Versailles was invaded by Takashi Murakami’s work, I frowned. I though it was a bit too much. Now I know I was wrong (and I’m happy to admit that Murakami changed my perspective over Versailles and all things Murakami). The catalogue of the Murakami Versailles exposition is already sold out chez Colette. Photographed by Cedric Delsaux and published with the Editions Xavier Barral, the books is surprising, funny and would make a great coffee book for art professionals and amateurs alike.
If you’re a fan already, you may get lucky with another similar book: Jeff Koons Versailles. Pop art is getting to me! Do you think this kind of installations brings new fans for the pop art artists? (you can see two images from the Jeff Koons Versailles book right after the jump – the last two; more about Jeff Koons Versailles here; photos via 1, 2)

Tiffany Under The Christmas Tree In Milan
December 22nd, 2010 by kpriss
Milan again, you’d ask! Well yes, it appears that the most interesting things happen in Europe during the Holidays season! The most expensive Christmas tree in Europe ($450,000) was placed atop a Holiday Tiffany Boutique in Milan, Italy.
All sounds great, except the wonderful Christmas tree and the jewelry pop up store were placed in the Piazza Duomo, a step away from the church. Which, of course, sprung numerous negative reactions. Which, of course, were put to peace by Tiffany who will donate 9% of its sales (appx $131,000 minimum) to LILT (nonprofit cancer research organization) and to Venerada Fabbrica del Duomo. Peace and faith through charity. Yay! (via, photos via 1, 2)
