Kanye West Confirmed For Paris Fashion Week?

Oh, come on! I always took those rumors about Kanye West having a fashion collection ready as pure and delightful mockery! Now I hear Kanye West Fashion Show was confirmed for Paris Fashion Week!

Wait, wait! There’s actually a day set for that? And an hour: Saturday, October 1, 9:30pm. How crazy is that? And Paris? What’s wrong with New York Fashion Week, if he was to do it anyway?

ha! Because Paris is about ART and NYC is about market/money.
as a polifacetic artist, multi hyphenated genius (pleeeeeaase)and humble human being I am surprised he didn’t choose the Louvre…
Kanye, we saw you already. Now you can go….

lol mdinah! Golden statue, yes, that’s surely the next step! And a statue on the Moon somewhere ;)

I keep reading these articles saying that Kanye is a very very talented and humble person and it just doesn’t convince me. I keep seeing him like a P Diddy wannabe? Is it wrong?

talented??? HUMBLE???
using your expression kpriss: PUH-LEESE.
he is one of the most narcisistic and egomaniacal and pretentious (pseudo) artists out there.
this people from hip-hop were allowed to make money and now they consider themselves “artists”.
You ask them one question about real art and they can’t answer you.
Thanks God they are not projecting
planes, or bridges or buildings. we are at safe… for a while…

But, there’s often a ‘but’ I do like a lot of Kanye’s music and I even think My Beautiful Dark Fantasy is a masterpiece (what’s in a name right? :D)…ja, ja..and I like his latest cooperation with Jay-Z. That they damaged a Maybach for their video Otis is not really humble, not even ironically. Kanye should stick to music: he’s great. But who knows?

Oh, and this; the times have changed and changing faster and so has fashion, music etc. Or it’s us getting old(er)? If we still look fabulous or not….;)

oh yes, i am definitely getting older. I respect other people’s opinion but hip hop for me is pure crap.
Can’t tolerate the image of women they send out there.

It’s a matter of taste. As in every genre of music there’s crap and there’s great music. I protest against the image that hip hop is only about giving women a bad image. That’s so not true. Same goes for rock or R&B etc. See how some female singers created an image for women and girls I do not appreciate!

ahhh good point. but a woman can do everything SHE wants about HER image. its HER unalianable right.
Its wrong for men to portray women in a way that she is not more than a bimbo, a gold digger and to glorify violence against women and treat them as second class citizens.and even worse is to capitalize while degrading others in the society.

It’s wrong, or better said annoying on my part, both ways. Whether it’s a male of a female action imo. Yes, it’s a girl’s right to be a stupid bimbo. It goes for fashion to by the way. All we women seem to have to do is crawl around sexy in underwear or half nekkid in a Burberry coat as an example…oh, that’s aesthetic? Not in my eyes. Show it to a simple guy and it turns him on in the wrong way and he don’t even see what fragrance or whatever is promoted which he can buy for his girlfriend or woman. No, all he sees, thinks of is s#x, that’s all. Not that I mind that but pleazzzz, let’s not pretend it’s different. I just ignore it.

I like some hip hop artists like Lupe Fiasco, Common, Roots Manuva, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Missy Elliot and some of Jay-Z. And some of Kanye’s music is rather good.
Not all of it is crap mdinah and not ALL of them portray women as objects, for if this is the argument then the same could be said of other music genres.
I do not listen to the tripe out there.
And yes Kanye is very loud in his self promoting, and I do find that to be a tad tiring, but for me the same could be said and can be said about Lady Gaga.
As for the Louis Vuitton Don, I take him with a big grain of salt whenever he opens his mouth other than to rap. : )
