Perry Como Papa Loves Mambo

This is one happy tune I’d dance around and sing along any time! I hope you do too since it’s our Friday Break this week!

I trust you had a wonderful week, I know I did, having you here with me! Thanking you so much for your insightful comments, I wish you have the most amazing weekend yet! Papa Loves Mambo sung here by Perry Como in 1954 is one of the best known versions of this popular song. Enjoy! (more info right after the jump!)

Featured on numerous movies and TV Series ost, Papa Loves Mambo is a very catchy song first released in 1954. That’s the year of this very Perry Como’s rendition above (which has been included on Ocean’s Eleven original soundtrack). The song has been released in a mambo mania moment and Al Hoffman with Dick Manning (both working on Bix Reichner’s original idea) were the brains behind this immortal hit.

With simple lyrics and a flowing melody, Papa Loves Mambo still makes me get up and dance in ways that Gaga wish she would in present times, never mind fifty something years from now!

This is a fun tune Kpriss. I like Perry Como, along with Rosemary Clooney, Nat King Cole and many others from that musical time period.
This is fun to dance to!
Thanks for a insightful week and I hope that you and everyone have a stellar weekend! :)

*Smiles* and would love to mambo. I can do the mambo you see. Is that the great Peggy Lee dancing along?

Have a great new week everybody!
