I agree with Jay-Z they should have not touched the original which was done as a (I may be wrong but so it seemed) purely magical musical moment. They should have written and done and new song. But I love the idea of helping Haiti.
i definitely agree with Jay-Z too. What happened in Haiti is truly sad and a terrible disaster, and my prayers are with them but that shouldn’t have been a reason to have a re-make of ‘We are the world”.with all those singers there, couldn’t one of them come up with a new song?very sad,but the original is timeless and shouldn’t have been touched.this version was way too overdone, they tried way too hard.but whatever help..right?
I agree also but to be honest back then in the days (I’m a European) we found nothing could beat Feed the World which still moves me.
Haiti, poor Haiti always a troubled country, I wish we got some information what’s done with the money and how the people cope these days.
I saw a report on tv about the rich area where shops still have a lot of everything and those people didn’t saw any use to help their fellow country men as they never did of course. I couldn’t believe it. Words fail me….
Let the poor untalented morons use this song if they can’t write one themselves. But more to the point – time is of the essence. Haiti needs assistance now not in the time it takes these bozos to write a decent tune. Most of them have NEVER written a decent tune.
