Something tells me they will not stop here! The city of Kobe, Japan, just honorably received/unveiled a new honorary citizen in their urban landscape: Gigantor.
Gigantor is a nice 60-foot statue and (on an imaginary time axis) goes right between his predecessor 59-foot Gundam from Tokyo and the upcoming Taekwon V (Voltar the Invincible) that’ll measure twice the height of the honorable Statue of Liberty! (via)

Interesting but a bit scary….?
Well we now know that the city of Kobe is safe from Godzilla as they now have a guardian in Gigantor!

BTW Taekwon V is Korean, not Japanese.
