Nowadays, you can sell almost anything if you’re a gorgeous looking woman with a bikini on. Just a bikini on.
Jennifer Lopez knows that, and she’s fully using her physical advantages to make the cash machines turn heavily in her favor. Being a mother of two (her twins Max and Emme are only 10 months old) and (recently rumored unhappy) wife isn’t breaking JLo from the block! She still makes the numbers glow with a Sunkissed Glow, her latest fragrance ad shot by Peter Lindbergh in Islamorada, Florida. I don’t know about you, but this poster really reminds me of that video “Waiting For Tonight”. Is Jenny getting back to her Block days? You’re right, the ad looks a lot like that video. I’ve never seen it before but I’m not a JLo fan. I don’t even know this song…
I’ve got some time ago a tube Glow body-lotion at my perfumery. I’ve waited long before I used it and it did smell surprisingly nice on me. Though it didn’t made me buy the perfume or the body-lotion. And this ad doesn’t make me buy her perfume either.
Yes the look and feel of the ad and the video are very similar. Maybe she is unhappy and is trying to return to her halcyon days when she was on top of the world with her,acting,music and fashion.
Not to say that they were any great shakes, the only film of La Lopez that is notable is “Out of Sight”, she was good in that, but not in anything else since.
I remember that song and video and that green laser behind her.
Despite going serious fashionista Jennifer seems to have gone back to her early Babe roots with this new ad and note the phalic symbol of the bottle.Doesn’t convince me to buy it however I remember liking her last perfume.I’m sure her fans will be enthralled.
The only film I remember and liked from Jennifer was “Shall We Dance”!
By the way the name of the perfume sounds like a tropical fruit drink.

Ellington, I liked Jennifer in two movies of course “Out of Sight” though I (we) found her too young for the part. She did a excellent job but we thought that part was better suitable for a more mature women. I liked her at her also a lot in “U Turn”. A great movie. I’ve watched “U Turn” after “Out of Sight” and liked her beautiful natural Latina look. That was a bit strange when you’ve seen someone “after” and then the “before”!
And yes, nothing is noteable after that movie. Also not “Shall We Dance” despite Susan Sarandon and a modern romantic fairy-talish script. But I can’t stand Richard Gere! That man works on my nerves…..
I’ve the feeling Jennifer is on a “U Turn” point in her career and personal life and I’m not sure she has made the right choice watching this ad…….
The only version of “Shall we Dance” that I like is the Japanese original.
Now that was a good movie! Oh and Adriana no Richard Gere in it! :)
I’ve got a softspot for J.Lo as a woman who silently champions the ample derriere … but I can’t say as I care to smell like her. ;)
