Jessica Stam Giorgio Armani Fall Winter 2008 2009

Androgyny is still running hot the upcoming season. One more proof – Giorgio Armani’s advertising campaign for Fall Winter 2008 2009.

Sure there could be something more specific since it’s a Vogue China scan, but I’ll keep looking and updated if something new comes along. The Giorgio Armani FW 08 Stam has nothing to do with the Jessica Stam I like. She looks more like a suffering adolescent (I give in to the obvious pleonasm, but it was required). Armani, for the suffering teens. I was used to a different Mert and Marcus. Do you like the new ads?

This IS different. Hmm. I think this is one of those ads that I’m going to need to see in print before I give my two cents. Thanks for posting!

Honestly, I must be the only person who doesn’t like Stam. Yeah, she’s beautiful, but she looks always the same in almost every picture.

Millertime, it’s different, you’re right, but there’s one thing that’s certain – there’s a trend going strong in photo-world – intentional move to create a live-like act. It’s a beautiful outcome, anyway.

Ck it’s a versatile face, however… But not necessarily the best looking one. I don’t like her eyes, for instance.

Lulu, you’re right, this is going more towards art than fashion. I like the colors very much, even if they look so dark.

Rather dark for my tastes, and definatly different. Yet, it’s a good different. Keeps everything interesting. As for Stam, I’m personally not a fan. Too much repition in each photo. Some variance in faces and such would just make the ads better.
