Oh how celebrities sparkle perfectly fit in the spotlight! Makes you think it’s all so effortless and easy to get.
Have you ever dieted? I know I did (once or twice). And many women that I know followed a strict diet and a severe program just to keep in shape. To be fit. Fit for what? the question came to my mind. Why do you diet (if you do)?
I dieted because my body reacted bad to certain medicine so I had to revert the effect. It took me a year. Since then I’m careful with what I eat, but I don’t make obsessions. Seems that some of the stars are making their life story from being slim (sometimes unhealthy skinny) and staying in shape. It may look good from the outside, but from the inside sounds like nightmare to me.
Not only they lie when asked about their shape (saying it’s the “gene fairy” or just plain luck because they just walk the dog around, or simply motherhood because they run around with the kids all day and of course, we could add shopping since it’s so boringly perpetual when you’re a celebrity like all you do from your day is go buy something to wear), but they’re also bad habited.
Drugs are, for many female stars, the key to being fit – Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie they all are hooked up on Adderall and/or Clenbuterol. Both drugs are used to inhibit the hunger and keep alert. (clenbuterol is, in fact, used to treat respiratory problems in horses) Stronger drugs (like cocaine) are a problem since they’re illegal, but they do the trick too.
Skipping meals is the answer when talking certain celebrities, in particular a certain boiled eggs diet (it’s not quantum physics – you just eat one meal/day with two boiled eggs and that’s all!) or plain water instead of eating (Marcia Cross, Paris Hilton, Beyonce are known for sipping mineral water through meals).
Laxatives is the solution when under diet and sinned with a meal. It’s like they give into temptation and then flagellate with some laxative tea to make it all go away.
Smoking is the latest magical idea – smoking away your lungs along with fat (allegedly) – Katherine Heigl is one of the adepts.
Skipping meals but loading with Coke and peanuts (and smoke when hungry) – looks to be a good choice for models.
Caffeine load – instead of responding to the medical logic that says when you have too much caffeine, your body feels like under stress and cortisol and insulin levels rise, signaling the body to store fat, good girls like Renee Zellweger or Mary Kate Olsen roll on caffeine all day long.
Nicorette patches for nonsmokers saying that they cut out the hunger (I heard they don’t cut out the smoking habit, less along hunger).
Spending each day at the gym, for several hours a day and working your life out just to look somehow slimmer or “fit” knowing to be working for Jessica Simpson, Kate Hudson and scary desperate housewife Teri Hatcher.
That looks extreme, aren’t there any mid-diets or solutions to keep one’s body in the best shape without having to sign a will when deciding to loose weight?
