The 25th and 26th of January, a very haute-couture event took place at the l’Hotel de la Monnaie. This special event was occasioned by Swarovski and it was all about marriage. Even if you’re a skeptical, I recommend you take interest in this exhibition because it’s all about fashion first of all.
“Crystallized” is the new brand of Swarovski products meaning to be promoted with this event where over 100 designers created unique bridal gowns and accessories with crystals.
The dazzling fruits of this major collaboration with world-class creative talents combine to provide an all-encompassing interpretation of modern marriage – a glamorous tableau in which every girl’s romantic fantasy becomes extravagant and gorgeous reality.
The show is supposed to be exported in New York before hitting Japan. But most of all, the show gave 50 representative dresses to make Unbridaled: The Marriage of Tradition and Avant Garde the book available from April 1 2008.
I chose some of the pictures available: Alberto Rodriguez creation, Julian MacDonald’s dress, Vera Wang’s gown, Armani Prive jacket and dress, Dries Van Noten, Zandra Rhodes and Galliano.
What do you say? Is white overrated? Or fairytales are always welcomed to join a marriage day?
