Outfit of The Day – New Year’s Treasured Casual Chic

Today’s outfit is inspired by Diane Kruger’s style from National Treasure… (yes, I was one of the contributors to this film’s spectacular success at the boxoffice). Her casual retro chic was disarming.

I came up with these few items to build a look-alike outfit in my own interpretation. Classic but trendy, it’s easy to find yet very effective. Enjoy!

Dance me to the end of night. Those should have been the words of Leonard Cohen for last night. The end of one year and the beginning of another. The first night of 2008 started with some breathtaking steps for our beloved celebrities.

In various locations, all of them were spotted with some heavy names at their feet.

Paris Hilton did her Christian Louboutin gold slingback platforms number while her sister showed off a white Cartier Panthere Bracelet, Mandy Moore pulled her fringe sandals signed by the very same Louboutin, Elisha Cuthberg brought her Gucci LA high heel white pumps all the way to Belveder and Ashlee Simpson showed her black toe nails in Burberry studded sandals.

I haven’t said a word about Ashley’s new nose ever since she appeared with because I believe that everyone has the liberty to do whatever they want with their God given bodies (of course, there’s always a limit, but it’s a privacy-respecting-principle I hold on to).

Aesthetically speaking, I don’t feel like this new asset is becoming her. But that’s just my eye’s view.

What I wanted to write about in this article is that she was recently viewed in Beverly Hills. And most of all, I wanted to write about her new obsession with Louis Vuitton.
Her Louis Vuitton $1.330 Multipli-cité Bag and her $380 Monogram Denim Shawl walk around the city for nights out or simple manicure.
I for one like the LV Monogram Denim scarf but I find the Louis Vuiton Multipli-cité Bag too stiff…

I usually watch an episode of “Heroes” from time to time. It’s a modern soap cartoon (if that doesn’t exist, I apply for copyrights, but I believe it to be one of the best describing term when it comes to this successful TV series).

Among my preferred roles in the series are the telenovela family – the indestructible cheerleader and her flying natural dad. Nevertheless, with her dad’s new obsessions, I turned my attention to the blondehaired cheerleader (and, I admit, her flying new boyfriend).
Well, enough reviewing movies, let’s get to the point.

Hayden Panettiere, the latest all-Americans-chérie is allover the place. Wherever I turn my head, I’ve got another picture of blonde sensation Hayden. Until now, everything was ok, I could overlook her easily but today I just got a flash when seeing her latest pictures from Italy. And the flash was, of course, about her outfit. It seems that everybody loves Michael Kors. From Angelina Jolie to Jessica Alba, not to forget Jeniffer Garner (or Eva Longoria in some occasions), the Michael Kors MKS526 sunglasses are a smashing hit.

Although they’re made from irrelevant plastic, the mks536 Michael Kors sunglasses carry a crocodile print temple on the sides. Not to striking but classy, they make a good choice for our conservative ladies back at Hollyshadeswood.

One of these days I’ll get enlisted for the mks526 adorers (the so coveted sunglasses cost around $230).

This is the second article of the series I’ve just started to inspire and inform you before making the delicate decisions involving your spring-summer 2008 wardrobe.

Laura Poretzky, the designer for Abaeté brought geometry to the catwalk. Black and white melt together in a vintage-like show with clean cuts and high waisted items.

From the 32 models I only came up with these 3 because of the over-classical line of the collection that makes almost every piece presented so eye-friendly that leans towards ‘common’.
