Today I thought it would be a good idea to start a new series.
A catwalk inspired wishlist to reunite all the 2008 spring-summer fashion shows in one humongous wishlist both informative and inspirational.
Let me introduce you to the first episode: Philip Lim and 6267.
Philip Lim’s spring-summer 2008 is a ready for travel collection with Amelia Earhart as inspiration. As for the collection itself, I found it rather casual. The zebra printed sandal looked so fit for the street, I just had to show it to you. The red oversize handbag is lovely! I treasure these messenger bags that give me freedom to run around after the kids (plus I have to stuff them with diapers and toys).
For an easy chic look you can always choose those red high heels (but please, don’t match them with red nail polish! It would be too much!). The yellow chiffon dress plus the safari gray jacket is a perfect combo for a light summer.
As for that white dress was just too retro for me to resist it! And topped with that red aviator leather jacket too!
As for 6267 it’s a duo – Roberto Rimondi and Tommaso Aquilano. They took this season and declined into two coordinates – fifties couture and Japanese samurai. I just cracked for those fluid silk pants and flowy blouses and those raffia-embroidered miniskirts.
As for the dress, I just fell in love with it! A blue silk over the knee dress just makes a perfect chic and dressed up outing outfit. The miniskirts would look devastating with flat sandals, casual enough to make you gorgeously daytime fresh and with high heels would make your evening stunningly sexy.
