The Hangers Recycled Into Chandeliers
August 18th, 2008 by kpriss
What to do with those skeleton metal hangers you usually get from your dry cleaners? Someone who had a bunch of them got the perfect idea:
(or ran out of decorator) transform them into chandeliers. Now you know I’m not against recycling and multi usage for an object, but these two chandeliers look creepy to me. For art’s sake I can only stand the sight of them in pictures. Otherwise I feel appalled by an eventual similarity between these clothing hangers and meat hangers. Don’t let yourself influenced by my creepy inspiration (I just had a bad internet connection day, bad to the point of dying on me so now I got an alternative dial-up connection hence my really dark mood). What do these hangers turned chandeliers tell you?

Would You Wear This Lanvin Necklace T-Shirt?
August 18th, 2008 by kpriss
I’m a fan of the Chanel pearl necklace. I don’t know if I’ll ever buy it (not just for financial reasons, but also because I’m a stay at home mum and wearing jewelry is way too unpractical) but I know I’ll always love it.
This Lanvin simple white t-shirt with pearls crystals and silver chain has everything to impress me. It’s simple and special. But it’s also $1,000. If the stones would be authentic, that could explain the four-figures-price. Otherwise, not even the Lanvin signature could’nt wash away the shame of selling a white tee for $1,000. Do you think it’s worth it?
Have Some Hint Flavored Water
August 18th, 2008 by kpriss
I was just asking myself few weeks back why would anyone drink something else except water to cool off a burning thirst. I admit it’s an unfair question and I sometimes fall into the coke temptation due to lack of sleep but these flavored waters got me all philosophical.
It’s like eating pills chicken flavored instead of having a regular meal. What’s wrong with plain water or soda that could make you drink flavored water? I’m not saying they’re not good (I actually haven’t tried them so if you like to share your opinion after testing them, please do), I’m just saying whereto? Watermelon honey flavored? Talking about watermelon – the Hint waters have four new tastes: honeydew-hibiscus, hibiscus-vanilla, watermelon and blackberry. Have you already tried the fashionable flavored water? What would your favorite be?

Get Ready For The Philips Emotional Dress!
August 17th, 2008 by kpriss
Just as our friend, Ellington, promised, it’s time to save some money for the Armani TV set: Philips designs dresses!
Not your average kind of dress, the Skin dress is part of a project that experiments with emotional fabric. Philips calls this a shift to sensitive technologies. The only hitch is that the sensitive dress is a perfect giveaway. Just think you’re in the middle of a corporate meeting and some of the participants simply left their brains at home in the freezer. Wouldn’t your dress just turn bright red like a traffic light? (click thumbnails to enlarge)
Hermès Fall Winter 2008 2009 Ads
August 17th, 2008 by kpriss
Now that’s a beautiful ad print! Not only it’s about Hermès, but it’s also a great set for a model, unusual and surprising.
Mariacarla Boscono for Hermès Fall Winter 2008 2009 by Eric Valy makes you ask what you should really bring with you in a winter mountain expedition…If not high heels, nothing! And next time we’ll be taking the kids breathe a bit of mountain air, I’ll surely pack everything in a Hermès bag. However, seeing the Hermès man ad too, it all began to feel very “Brokeback Mountain”. What do you think?
Magazine Break
August 17th, 2008 by kpriss
I wonder how many magazines really exist… Do you think about all that paper being printed every month and distributed worldwide? It’s insane!
At least if half of all that would be recycled! Anyway, for all it’s worth, this picture is brilliant. It’s today’s culture summoned up in one image. A cultural mix contained in one little place called “the earth”. Beautiful! Enjoy this press Sunday break! (click picture to see larger image)

Banana Republic City Insider Guide
August 16th, 2008 by kpriss
Replicas don’t stop at clothes. Banana Republic is celebrating its 30th anniversary so everything comes in special for this fall.
The ad campaign features Carolyn Murphy and Will Chalker photographed by Tom Munro and will launch as a 12 page insert in September magazines. There’s something else to this anniversary: the Banana Republic City Insider Guide to help you discover new hot spots all over the world. Sounds familiar? You also have to know that this fall’s specials fall under the “Monogram” category. Now, that rings any bells? Is it just me, or this campaign is a Louis Vuitton city guide replica?
