Fashion Meet Tech – Vivienne Tam HP Digital Clutch Summer 2009
September 11th, 2008 by kpriss
Vivienne Tam Spring Summer 2009 Collection wasn’t all that bad. Wasn’t all that good either. Somehow, even if the clothes look good at first, at a second glance, it all seemed so unfit, so poorly cut that I was a minute away from wrongfully blaming the skinny-framed models for not giving the proper credits to Vivienne Tam’s designs.
Couture aside, the prints stole the show entirely. As you know, my inner dress self took control over the keyboard and only reported the maxi print dresses. Lovely! However. I have to break the catwalk report for the most unusual sighting – a mini laptop clutch bearing the HP signature and Vivienne Tam style. Isn’t this purely gorgeous? My inner geeky self took control over my inner dress self. (read all about the HP Digital clutch and Vivienne Tam’s spring summer 2009 show and don’t miss the pictures after the jump)
Kirsten Dunst Harper’s Bazaar October 2008
September 11th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s always a pleasure for me to see Kirsten. I liked her ever since Interview with a Vampire, a movie I’m very fond of. I found her Interview acting completely speechless.
She seems destined to play the hero’s girlfriend or entourage (see her Spiderman part) but Kirsten is refreshingly beautiful and normal. There’s a strike of normal madness to her you don’t get to see every-Hollywood-day. The cover line “Fabulous at every age, price and shape” and her incredible fresh look make this Harper’s Bazaar a great one for me, everything but the average dull and gray fall magazine. Of course I could talk about her rehab times and her unusual choice of clothes or boyfriends, but I rather keep it to the photos. Why do I get this weird loneliness feeling from these pictures in spite of their weekend atmosphere? (you can see all the pictures right after the jump)

Laetitia Casta For Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2008-2009 Ad Campaign
September 11th, 2008 by kpriss
Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2008-2009 gets another face and another photographer for another ad campaign.
Laetitia Casta by Annie Leibovitz for Louis Vuitton winter 2009 photographed in Paris, France. This campaign, awaited for few months already, is far more interesting and warm than the Eva Herzigova campaign. It makes me think about some lovely fairytale and the princess rescued from the tower, simply emotional impressions from a beautiful campaign. Not to mention Laetitia. I always liked her (and not because she’d had anything to do with the French chic but because she looks human, alive, sweet) and Eva she looked pretty distant and cold, even if her bone structure is perfectly fit for fashion. What do you think about this new Louis Vuitton campaign?

Bottega Veneta Makes Leather Desks!
September 11th, 2008 by kpriss
Isn’t this just perfect? A leather desk! I imagine what it would be like to have one at my place… Because you see, my desk has to be childproof at first. Then and only then, after it’s been proven childrenresistant, I could also talk about its desk functions.
This Bottega Veneta desk (doesn’t it sound weird? I’m so tempted to write “bag” after Bottega Veneta!) comes in five shades, it has three drawers with leather handles and the profiles are made of gunmetal. Of course you can buy it, for $19,700 at Bottega Veneta Stores, carry it home and enjoy it! Your new Leather Desk! How impressive! If anyone is handy enough, they’d made a desk out of an old trunk (a Louis Vuitton one, to make it fashionable) and there you have your flop Bottega Veneta product. Would you take one of these at home?

Kate Moss In Vogue UK October 2008
September 10th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s that Kate Moss time of the month when she graces yet another cover. This time it’s the UK Vogue who’s got her for the October issue.
Photographed by Mario Testino, Kate looks a bit younger than usual but very rock’n’roll. She seems to have had a truly relaxed photo shoot (no wonder since she’s only a month a part from her last Mario Testino Vogue cover!). Her trademark style is the matter in this shoot, her ever mixing and matching (more or less) different pieces of clothing with different textures. The result is brilliant, however, very fashion-art-friendly and rock-to-the-bone. How do you like your Kate Moss? US, UK, Paris, Espana Vogue served?
Carolina Herrera Spring Summer 2009 Fashion Show
September 10th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s all clean and beautiful with Carolina Herrera. Feminine and perfectly romantic, her creations always fill my heart with a long lost fashion flavor.
Shades of red, white, gray, black, bright yellow, blue, nude beige, all combined for a classic look and a classy feel. It’s like an island in fashion. Carolina Herrera’s ruffled dresses can turn frogs into princesses in a frock swing. Makes me dream about simple fashion, a world where you wouldn’t have to think edgy and too daring, where you wouldn’t fear not being understood or mismatched. That’s how I feel about Carolina Herrera’s Spring Summer 2009. Here are few of the pieces I found brilliant but you can see all the show after the break plus Carolina Herrera herself explaining this collection. Wouldn’t you dream about an endless Red Carpet?
Katie Holmes Baby Bump Watch?
September 10th, 2008 by kpriss
I was just wondering… Wearing this kind of large blouse isn’t kinda weird? I know, it’s not gossip time, but I’m curious. Especially since I’m suspecting Katie to be pregnant for awhile now (so the boyfriend jeans number would’ve been, in fact, just camouflage?)
If you look carefully, you’ll even see the burgeoning belly button due to a clear pregnancy. The baby bump is so obvious (at least to me) that I can’t believe it’s just my imagination! Indulge me here – do you think that’s a baby bump she’s sporting under her white 60s inspired blouse? (and if so, why do you think she wouldn’t she go public with the announcement?)

V Magazine 55 Fall 2008 Has 14 Covers !
September 10th, 2008 by kpriss
V Magazine is eligible for the most numerous covers ever. Fourteen girls grace the cover of this V 55 Fall 2008 issue.
All of them photographed by Inez and Vinoodh in black in white with the trademark V in soft gray across the cover. They name it themselves the Biggest Issue Ever! Beautiful. Let’s take them one by one: Eniko Mihalik, Natasha Poly and Naomi Campbell wear Cartier, Malgosia Bela and Agyness Deyn wear David Yurman, Anna Selezneva wears Bvlgari, Daria Werbowy and Sunniva Stordahl wear Dior Fine Jewelry, Frankie Rayder wears Chanel Fine Jewelry, Abbey Lee Kershaw wears Gucci, Christy Turlington wears Piaget, Lara Stone wears Van Cleef & Arpels, Anja Rubik wears Louis Vuitton and Eva Herzigova wears Chopard. All the girls look gorgeous but I must confess I don’t fully understand their hair styling. Take for instance Christy, Sunniva and Naomi – like they posed for V the Hairy edition. Abbey Lee and Anna look ready for V the Full Frizz edition. (all the pictures right after the jump)
