Wildcat Terror Eyes Meets Manic Panic Laser Lash!

Punk’s not dead. Far from it! Some say it has turned into emo, some say it’s still out there, alive and well.

I tend to think it’s still out there, alive and kickin’… Manic Panic is the perfect proof. Two sisters created the Manic Panic brand on 7/7/77 and are going strong ever since. Their latest buzz? The laser lashes, fake eyelashes glowing in the dark. Available in two versions, they retail about $10. Now they’ve met their match made in heaven – the Terror Eyes Wildcat Contact Lenses. Talk about a look that tells a thousand stories! And I thought the Hello Kitty contacts were as hard as it gets! Would you consider some extreme eye makeup for a night out? Grace Jones Is Dazed And Confused In November 2008

Grace Jones. Such a legend. Chris Cunnigham. Such an astonishing servant of arts! They make a great team for November’s Dazed and Confused.

When I first saw the Dazed cover was impressed and found it purely brilliant. Even if it may shock, Chris Cunningham‘s work has never been less than the work of a genius. Some of you may remember Madonna’s Frozen or Björk’s All Is Full of Love, some of his most known videos. But some of you may also remember his work in A.I movie (the main robo-child character). Whether you feel inspired or appalled by his doings, take a look at his Dazed and Confused work with Grace Jones and let me know what you feel! (I love it!) (source via tfs)

Christy Turlington Vogue Paris October 2008

Christy Turlington on the cover of French Vogue. What a beautiful sight! Celebrating Martin Margiela’s brand 20 years anniversary, Christy strikes some gorgeous photos.

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin lens graced some black and white photos of Christy in an attempt to glorify Margiela’s work. All I see is Christy. It’s amazing how little she needs to be gorgeous! I struggled hard with the article and got myself distracted with Carine’s flattery but I got back to Christy, for fresh air. I’ll let you enjoy the pictorial yourself, and tell me what you think about the white shirt pose! I just loved it! (photos via tfs)

Nadja Auermann Berlin Opera House Advertising

The endless legs are back! And not for just any reason – Nadja Auermann poses for the German Opera House in an unusual advertising campaign.

I searched the internet for the photographs, because I just couldn’t settle for two wwd pictures of Nadja. She’s a stunning woman (and by that I’m not only taking into consideration her legendary endless legs). Her campaign for the Berlin Opera only emphasizes her intelligent choices and smart fashion moves.

Nadja Auermann Berlin Opera Advertising Campaign

Being a fan of costume design, she was more than honored and thrilled to impersonate four of the most pregnant female opera characters ever (Bizet’s Carmen, Puccini’s Princess Turandot, Troy’s Helen, Wagner’s Venus). The 37 years old former model has also a personal relationship with the Opera since her grandmother Hildegard was an opera singer in the fifties. The campaign promotes the female figures in the Opera’s playlist and was shot by André Rival. Would Nadja convince you to visit the Opera more often? Chanel Sequined Goat Sandal With (Functioning) Bulb Heel!

And then there was light! I assure you it’s not a bad joke, it’s not a joke at all! Actually, it’s not even funny! But it’s Chanel!

I came across this sandal while searching nice things to share with you. Instead I came across this ….thing! I was always convinced that haute couture is more about indulging the concept than about actually wearing the product, but a bulb heel??? And a functioning one? It’s like someone who’d buy this kind of shoe could get lost in the wilderness and would need light to see the path. And then there’s another question that pops in my mind – the wearer’s weight! I mean.. after all, it’s a bulb, right? (source via notcot)

If you loved the Mouse flats by MJ, you’ll be pleased to find out that the legendary 10 years old Mouse flats by Marc Jacobs are celebrating! Kaws gave its Mouse measure and that turned them into a completely new and contemporary shoe.

The Mouse flats by MJ got the famous X eyes treatment as well as a pink detail around the shoe. They were only 200 of them made and they will be distributed in the US through the Marc Jacobs stores (as well as London), Colette in Paris and Original Fake in Tokyo. Do you fancy these Kaws Mouse flats? (via)

Samsonite Blings Its Black Label With Swarovski Crystals

I find it hard to believe there’s anybody out there who hasn’t heard about Samsonite at least once.

If you’ve been reading Stylefrizz, you’ve also heard about Chloë Sevigny’s advertising projects with Samsonite as well as Milla Jovovich’s print ads for Samsonite. Now it’s another round of Samsonite news making waves. Their Black Label Trunk collection (part of the Vintage series) was touched by the bling-my-everything-mania! If normally, a Samsonite Black Label Trunk costs about $950, I don’t even imagine what would be its Swarovski enhanced price! (there’s more after the jump, plus a poll attached to the article, don’t miss it!)

Questionable Style – Kate Moss Tartan Skinny Pants

Not so long ago I’ve seen a pair of skinny tartan pants in a high street fashion chain store. Was not impressed. Moved along and bought a mini tartan dress instead with a little black embroidery in the front. That because plaid is funny and very much in this fall.

However, seeing La Moss wearing these tartan skinny pants didn’t made me go fashion sleepwalking, blinded by her overwhelming style icon status, So I didn’t rushed down the door with soul purpose emptying the store’s tartan pants stock. Yes she looks pretty, yes she can pull those pants because she’s got a thin constitution but I still don’t get bitten by the skinny tartan bug. Yes, her look is very nonchalant and carefree but so trendy in the same time, yes, she’s Kate Moss! (more after the jump, don’t miss the poll attached to this post!)
