The endless legs are back! And not for just any reason – Nadja Auermann poses for the German Opera House in an unusual advertising campaign.
I searched the internet for the photographs, because I just couldn’t settle for two wwd pictures of Nadja. She’s a stunning woman (and by that I’m not only taking into consideration her legendary endless legs). Her campaign for the Berlin Opera only emphasizes her intelligent choices and smart fashion moves.
Being a fan of costume design, she was more than honored and thrilled to impersonate four of the most pregnant female opera characters ever (Bizet’s Carmen, Puccini’s Princess Turandot, Troy’s Helen, Wagner’s Venus). The 37 years old former model has also a personal relationship with the Opera since her grandmother Hildegard was an opera singer in the fifties. The campaign promotes the female figures in the Opera’s playlist and was shot by André Rival. Would Nadja convince you to visit the Opera more often? Yes, but then I like attending the opera anyway.
I love the idea of bring the myth and magic of these operatic characters to life and the photos are lovely!
Beautiful Nadja, beautiful photos. I would go anyway to see (and hear) a opera again!
Just as I want to see a ballet after viewing a documetary on the late great Rudolph Nureyev’s early Russian years…..breathtaking speaking about beautiful legs…..
